I wanted a place online that was simple, useful, and mine. This website does not need a complicated design or a long list of features. It only needs to make my writing and links easy to find.
A plain website also keeps the focus on the words. It loads quickly, works on a phone, and does not require a database or a collection of plugins. There is very little here that can break.
This site will be a home for occasional notes, longer articles, and links to work I want to share. Some pieces may be practical. Others may simply record an idea that seemed worth keeping.
Possible subjects include:
- business and lessons learned from building things;
- technology and the ways it affects ordinary life;
- faith, culture, and public life; and
- projects, products, and resources I find useful.
There is no publishing schedule. I will add something when I have something worth saying. I may add more to the site over time, but the goal will remain the same: publish useful things without turning the website itself into a project.
